  • Notes
    • Margaret was married to Stephen Perry by the Reverend Joshua Hartt in Huntington. Early the next year, she and Stephen and their infant son, Benjamin, departed New Jersey for Canada. After a short stay on the St. John River in New Brunswick, the young family moved to Shelburne, Nova Scotia. After the death of her husband, Margaret remained in Nova Scotia at least until about 1838 when she was mentioned in a newspaper obituary of her sister, Elizabeth. A few years previous to this event, on 16 August 1836, at age 75, Margaret was baptised into the Methodist Church in Barrington, Nova Scotia.
